MT5 Platform — Which One to Download and How to Use It

SHEET 04 · PLATFORMS

TPTrades supports MetaTrader 5 on desktop, web, and mobile — you can’t go wrong with any of them, but choosing the one that fits your style makes for a smoother experience.

Where to Start

If you’re new to trading, I recommend starting with MT5 on mobile first, then moving to the desktop version once you begin analyzing charts in depth. MT5 is the primary platform that TPTrades fully supports on its backend infrastructure.

Key advantages of MT5 used by Thai traders: access to market depth (Depth of Market), a built-in economic calendar, faster EA backtesting, and one-click order placement directly from the chart.

Web Version — Trade Without Installation

Open it in any browser on Windows / macOS / Linux. Data is encrypted to the same standard as the main app. It’s ideal for quick position checks when you’re out and about and don’t want to log into the full application.

Mobile — Full Support for Android and iOS

The MT5 mobile app supports price push notifications and allows you to monitor your portfolio at any time. I use it to set alerts and then open my computer when conditions are met — this workflow is typical for part-time traders.

Security Considerations

Connections between the terminal and server are encrypted, and the platform supports RSA digital signatures. What I always add is enabling two-factor authentication on my TPTrades account every time I log in fresh.

MetaTrader 5

The main platform recommended by TPTrades — supports Forex, Gold, Indices, and derivatives in one system. Deep analysis, Depth of Market, economic calendar, and built-in EA backtesting.

Download links are the official MetaQuotes page and TPTrades login portal (secure.tptrades.com) — actual installation files should only be downloaded from these two sources.
